On April 16, 2025, the Port and Harbor Bureau of the City of Yokohama, along with the Yokohama Port Corporation (YPC), hosted a delegation from the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, which included Mr. Chen Jinshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration. The port management authority provided a comprehensive overview of Yokohama Port. Following this presentation, the delegation engaged in a fruitful exchange of information and perspectives concerning the ongoing initiatives at both ports.

The Shanghai Lin-gang Special Area is a designated economic zone that was established in 2019 as part of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
