The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) Technical Committee on Planning, Operations, and Finance convened its meeting in Singapore.

On April 23, 2026, Dr. Ichio Motono, Senior Executive Director of YPC, of YPC and Vice President of IAPH for the Asia I Region, organized and moderated the IAPH Technical Committee (Planning, Operations, and Finance) as its chair during the IAPH TC Days 2026 held in Singapore.

Within this committee, research was being conducted on two main themes. Updates on the progress and findings of these research initiatives were presented by their respective representatives.

・[Theme I] Good practices in transforming obsolete terminals
・[Theme II] Smooth and Effective Port PPP Study Feedback

In Theme I, which was overseen by Mr. Kosuke Shibasaki (Deputy General Manager, General Affairs Department, Corporate Strategy and Planning Division) and Mr. Hisatoshi Ninomiya (Assistant Manager, Corporate Strategy and Planning Division, General Affairs Department) at YPC, Mr. Ninomiya presented analyses on trends in collected cases and highlighted examples of transitioning facilities to handle green energy.

Mr. Shibasaki, on the other hand, provided an overview of key features regarding the multi-level storage systems for automotive and container terminals, as well as plans for establishing data centers in port areas.

Additionally, Ms.Joline Motanga from the Authorite Portuaire National du Cameroun and Mr.Lim Meng Yong from BOX BAY presented specific examples of advanced functionality in action.
