As part of the Yokohama Port Environmental Improvement Project, which aims to preserve the marine environment of Yokohama Port, YPC held a family young fish release event at Yokohama Bayside Marina on Saturday, July 26th.
About 1,500 young fish were released at this event. The funds include donations received from last year’s “Marine City Yokohama Sea Expo 2024”.
More than 60 local residents participated in the event despite the scorching heat.
Through a lecture on the ecology of red sea bream and the experience of releasing the young fish into the sea in buckets, we were able to convey to the children the importance of preserving marine resources.
We sincerely thank all the participants and all the related organizations for their cooperation.
