The Port of Yokohama has been providing high-quality port services since its opening in 1859, more than 160 years ago, leveraging its wealth of history, know-how and experience.
The port has ranked first in Japan for the number of incoming foreign ships since 1964. Consisting of facilities including Honmoku Pier, Daikoku Pier, and Minami-Honmoku Pier, it functions as a comprehensive logistics port handling a variety of cargo, including completed automobiles, containers, energy resources such as oil, and grains. The port also welcomes numerous cruise ships.

The Port of Yokohama boasts over 90 regular international container shipping routes, forming a network with numerous ports throughout the world.
Road Network Connected Directly to Surrounding Areas
The port is connected to the metropolitan area and other surrounding areas via a network of expressways. It offers excellent access to not only Tokyo, but also western Japan.
Ongoing construction of the metropolitan Ring Road network is further improving access between the Port of Yokohama and surrounding areas.
