On May 22, 2024, we welcomed a visit of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Kingdom of Cambodia (MPWT), the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP), and the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), who were visiting Japan as part of JICA project, “The Project for Strengthening Capacity for Ports Administration”.

Yokohama Port Corporation (YPC) Managing Director Takagi extended a warm welcome, and Deputy General Manager Shibasaki introduced an overview of the Port of Yokohama and our initiatives. We also had a fruitful discussion with the delegation, including members of the Overseas Coastal Area Development Institute of Japan (OCDI), who accompanied us.

At Honmoku Pier, the delegation was shown container terminals, logistics facilities, and development and redevelopment projects.

H.E. Eang Veng Sun, Secretary of State, MPWT expressed his appreciation on behalf of the visitors.

YPC will continues its efforts to strengthen relationships with ports both in Japan and overseas.
